Meaning: The phrase used in response to something surprising, awesome, or cool. It can also be used when an individual is excited or in shock at something. Sometimes we say it when we feel anger or frustration

Example: Oh Shoot! Did you see that guy with the scooter that wouldn't start? Shoot! I've just spilled coffee on my shirt.
